Nurses Week 2023: Celebrating the Unwavering Dedication of Orlando's Nurses

Nurses are the backbone (I know firsthand ... honoring my wife in the picture above) of the healthcare industry, and their selfless work was never more apparent than during the COVID-19 pandemic. Nurses in Orlando continue to demonstrate exceptional bravery, compassion, and resilience on the frontlines of our healthcare system.

As we celebrate Nurses Week 2023 in Orlando, we pay tribute to the incredible nurses who have continued to provide essential care to patients, despite the many obstacles they have faced. This year's theme, "You Make a Difference," is particularly fitting, as it highlights the vital role that nurses play in our healthcare system.

Nurses have been at the forefront of patient care and our community, working tirelessly to keep their patients safe and healthy. They work long hours, sacrificing their own health and well-being to care for others. Despite the risks, nurses at AdventHealth, Orlando Health, UF Health Central Florida, and many other Orlando area hospitals, doctors' offices, and healthcare providers have remained steadfast in their commitment to their patients and have continued to provide exceptional care.

In addition to their clinical expertise, nurses are a source of comfort and support for patients and their families during a time of great uncertainty. They have been the friendly face and listening ear many patients need during their hospital stays.

As we celebrate Nurses Week 2023, it is important to recognize the challenges that nurses have faced and their tremendous impact on our community. They are truly the unsung heroes of the healthcare system, and we owe them a debt of gratitude.
